Quebec City has long my most favorite city in all of North America.  I’ve been going here for many many years and even learned how to ski at the local Mt. Saint Anne ski resort.  Quebec City is one of the very few places in Canada where I actually feel I’m in another country.  It has been a LONG time since my last visit so it was LONG over due.
St Anne Cathedral
St Anne Cathedral

Mt Saint Anne Cathedral is a BEAUTIFUL Cathedral about 30 minutes east of Quebec City along the St Lawrence River.  Inside, you will see columns with crutchs and other devices of people who were cured of their ailments.  There is usually some sort of event in this forecourt almost every weekend.

I snuck this picture inside the Cathedral to show the columns of crutches that you see just behind me.

BIG Dog

BIG Dog

On the road to Mt Saint Anne, there’s the place that has these huge dogs.  What they are doing there, I have no idea.  Here I’m taking the temperature of one of the dogs.

Montmorency waterfall

Montmorency waterfall

You can’t miss Montmorency Falls when you drive up the Saint Lawrence River.  BEAUTIFUL falls with a wonderful hike and trails up to and down the falls.  And the views from the top is spectacular.

This is the view from atop Montmorency Falls.  You see the amazing Saint Lawrence River and the Isle d’Orleans on the other side.
Ile d'Orléans

Ile d'Orléans

The Isle d’Orleans, on the other side of the Saint Lawrence River is a wonderful agricultural island famous for it’s apple groves.  All around the island, you will find these groves where you can get some wonderful tasting apples and even pick your own.  There’s an audio tour you can grab at the visitor center not too much further up where I took this picture.  The tour will take you all the way around the island and tells the story of the island.  Great way to spend an afternoon.
Bonne Homme!

Bonne Homme!

Boone Homme is the official mascot of Quebec City’s Winter Carnival.  I’ve been to this event twice so far and REALLY want to go back again.  Fun time for all.
The Entrance to Old Quebec

The Entrance to Old Quebec

Old Quebec is a fortressed city, I believe the only one in North America.  Past this gate is Old Quebec and all it’s magic.
Chateau Frontenac

Chateau Frontenac

The Chateau Frontenac is a landmark of Quebec City.  A 5-star hotel overlooking the Saint Lawrence River.  I once stayed here with my dogs when we were flown in to do a TV Special about our Frisbee performances with the Superdogs.
Oldest buidling in Quebec

Oldest House in QuebecThe Maison Jacquet is the oldest house in Quebec City and is the home of the Aux Anciens Canadiens Restaurant. Had lunch here of a meat pie consisting of Caribou, Bison, and Pheasant. YUMMMMMM!Funicular

Quebec City is split in two levels.  The main part of QC is the upper level, which houses most things.  This Funicular takes you between levels, or you can hike up the hill to the top.  The funicular is more fun.
Lower Old Quebec
Lower Old Quebec

The lower part of Old Quebec is full of really cute little shops and restaurants.  There is an old church and an old fashioned town square down here that is not to be missed.
